St. Theodore Guerin High School, Noblesville, recently hosted a screening of the documentary “Two Million Minutes.” The documentary by Bob Compton compares two million minutes in the high school life of students in Carmel, Ind., Shanghai and Bangalore. A panel discussion followed the 60-minute film, featuring Compton, Guerin Catholic teacher Hugh Ross, parent Chris Iafrato, assistant principal Kelly Hamilton, and students Carolyn Bates and Julian Murphy. Moderator was Martin Kirkwood (far left), director of guidance at the high school. Panel members discussed ways that St. Theodore Guerin High School promotes values and academic efforts. Sixth-graders at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School, Carmel, recently completed their pro-life service project for “Memorial Day for the Unborn.” The students wrote names on 4,000 small white flags that were planted in the church lawn in memory of the 4,000 babies killed by abortion every day in the United States. The words “Life Is Precious” appeared on each flag, and banners were displayed to explain the symbolism of the flags and offer information on where to get help. (Photo provided)
